Intellectual Property Laws
👉Intellectual Property law deals with laws to protect and enforce rights of the creators and owners of inventions, writing, music, designs and other works, known as the "intellectual property." There are several areas of intellectual property including copyright, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets.
TRADEMARK
👉A trademark can be any word, phrase, symbol, design, or a combination of these things that identifies your goods or services.
Copyright
👉Copyright is a type of intellectual property that protects original works of authorship as soon as an author fixes the work in a tangible form of expression.
PATENT
👉A patent is a type of intellectual property that gives its owner the legal right to exclude others from making, using, or selling an invention for a limited period of time in exchange for publishing an enabling disclosure of the invention.
DESIGN
👉A design relates to the features, shape, configuration, pattern or ornamentation applied to an article.
The essential requisite for design registration is that the design applied of an article should be new or original, not previously known, published or used in any country before the date of application for registration.
Design registration grants an exclusive right to the owner and creator to use as well as refrain others from exploiting the guaranteed right of the owner.
